The Hannun app

Hannun is an offline Windows file finder. You choose the folders it searches. The app makes no internet connections, collects no telemetry, shows no ads and needs no account.

Hannun reads file names, paths and details in the locations you choose. If you turn on searching inside files, it reads supported documents and keeps their text in a local index. Settings, saved searches and indexes stay on your PC. They can contain sensitive information from your files, so protect them as you protect your Windows account.

Hannun never uploads your files, their text or your searches. Windows file permissions always apply.

The optional fast indexing service reads file system information locally. It is installed only when you choose it and approve the Windows prompt, and it never lets Hannun open files your Windows account can't.

Cleanup and recovery

Removing a file sends it to the Windows Recycle Bin after you confirm. Confirmed duplicate cleanup moves files into a Hannun recovery folder on the same drive and keeps a local record so you can restore them. Those files use disk space until you restore or remove them.

Buying Hannun Pro

Buy Hannun Pro opens Gumroad in your browser. Gumroad handles your payment and purchase details under its own privacy policy. Your PC's machine code is filled in at checkout so your licence works on that PC. The code is calculated on your PC from a Windows identifier, and the identifier itself is never sent.

After a purchase, our licence service confirms the order with Gumroad, signs your licence and emails it to you. It runs on Cloudflare, and the email is sent through Resend. It keeps a record of each licence: the order and sale reference, your name and email, the machine code, the licence ID, issue and update dates, and the licence itself. We use these records only to deliver licences, replace them for a new PC, handle refunds and answer your support requests. We don't sell them or use them for marketing.

Hannun checks licences on your PC without contacting anyone. Treat your machine code and licence like a receipt: avoid posting them publicly.

How long we keep records

We keep licence records while your licence is in use, so we can replace it or help with a refund. You can ask us to delete yours at any time by emailing hannun@evenanse.com. We will delete it, except for anything we must keep for tax, payment or legal reasons. Gumroad keeps its own purchase records under its policy.

Your choices

You choose which folders Hannun indexes and whether it reads inside files. Clearing an index never deletes your documents. Uninstalling Hannun may leave settings, indexes and recovery files on your PC; you can remove them from Hannun's data folder.
